Attention NJMBC Family:
Through prayer and support from the church leadership, health ministry and others, the doors of NJMBC will re-open for in-person church service on Sunday, July 5, 2020 for 11:00am worship service. We certainly understand that some people may not yet be ready to return or feel comfortable convening in public places. However, for those who plan to return, please take note of the vitally important plans, precautions and protocol related to our modified church operations:
The front doors will open at 10:00am. (The side or rear doors will not be open for public entry.) Signs will be visible outside the church to provide direction and instruction.
Service will begin promptly at 11:00am and should conclude around 12:00pm or shortly thereafter. (We will still broadcast service via Facebook Live and on our church YouTube Channel.) We will have a modified service with limited interactions and recommended restrictions to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
Face masks are mandatory.Face masks, which may be cloth or disposable, must cover the nose and mouth to protect the health and well-being of yourself and others.(For those who do not have a face mask, one will be provided upon arrival in the vestibule.)
Adhere to social distancing requirements (six feet of physical separation between yourself and others)
Practice good hygiene (wash hands frequently, use hand sanitizers regularly, and clean personal and shared spaces routinely)
Upon your arrival, the greeters and security will assist you at the front of the church where you will also be asked a few questions in accordance with CDC guidelines and your temperature will be checked by our health ministry. If everything checks out well, you will then enter the sanctuary.
Church officials will be positioned at designated points in the church and will have plastic baskets to receive your tithes and offerings. (You may also still use Givelify to pay tithes and offerings.) Please note that on first Sundays, you will be given a communion packet that will be used at the end of the service during our observance of Holy Communion.
Once inside the sanctuary, the ushers will lead you around the outer perimeter where you may be seated on previously marked pews to assure social-distancing. After the benediction, the ushers will relieve everyone pew by pew, starting from the rear to the front and then the wing, if necessary.
These procedures are a MUST if we desire to continue with our doors open and in order to ensure the health and safety of our members. If you do not feel well, we respectfully ask that you stay home, contact your healthcare provider or seek medical care as needed.
Thank you in advance for abiding by the expectations and adhering to the aforementioned guidelines. Your cooperation, patience and Christ-like spirit are greatly appreciated as we navigate these unfamiliar waters. We look forward to everyone having a blessed, safe worship experience.
In Christian Love,
Pastor Ronald E. Speas
